SI Mohsin Chowdhury won the IGP medal 35 times in 5 years

Mohsin Chowdhury, Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) of Ramganj Police Station in Laxmipur district, has been awarded the most prestigious and important medal of the Bangladesh Police Force, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Medal and Best Officer at the divisional and district level 35 times. He has been awarded the IGP Medal 1 time in the 5 years from 2015 to the current year, 2 times at the divisional level and 32 times at the district level in recognition of humanitarian assistance to the disabled, poor and helpless in the war on Tamil, crime suppression, progress of cases as well.

A young and very smart police officer, he joined B-Baria Police Station in Bangladesh Police Force in 2003. Later in 2015, he was working as Deputy Inspector of Police (SI) in Ramganj Police Station in Laxmipur District.

Mohsin Chowdhury was born in 1973 in the village of Kanaimadari in Chandnaish police station of Chittagong to a Muslim noble family. His father, the late Amin Sharif Chowdhury, was an honest and humane man. He is the only brother of 4 sisters. His father died 41 days after his birth. He joined the police force in 2003 after passing BSS from Khagrachhari Degree College due to his mother's hard work, prayers and inspiration.

SI Mohsin Chowdhury said that his father died 41 days after his birth. Along with the hard work and prayers of my mother, Laxmipur District Superintendent of Police, Circle SP in charge of Ramganj and Raipur Police Stations, Ramganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge and with the cooperation of the Police Department, I am proud and successful today.
